Recently, a wholly-owned subsidiary of S.C, Shenzhen Jiejia Xinchuang Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as: Jiejia Xinchuang), successfully delivered the One-Step Composite Current Collector Vacuum Roll-To-Roll Coating Equipment to a key customer. This perfect delivery marks another leap in S.C's R&D capability in the study of vacuum equipment.
Developed by Jiejia Xinchuang to target the large-scale production of composite current collector, the delivered equipment is a type of roll-to-roll vacuum equipment that performs vapor deposition of metal film layers on both sides in one step. The equipment integrates multiple designs such as in-situ tension monitoring and automatic tension control system, self-developed quadruple-feed evaporation source, film cooling drum designed with an innovative structure, and real-time inline monitoring and film testing system, etc., which significantly improves uniformity, deposition rate and reliability of film layers.
The composite aluminum foil film layer fabricated by the roll-to-roll vacuum vapor deposition equipment has a uniformity of 5% and a sheet resistance of 35mΩ, and the equipment is capable of producing at a high linear speed of 20m/min - 30m/min, far exceeding the current market level. Backed by the footprint and technology platform of Jiejia Xinchuang in flexible thin film, the successful delivery of the equipment represented a breakthrough of Jiejia Xinchuang in specialty vacuum equipment for lithium-ion battery, and shows the excellent R&D capability in vacuum coating equipment, while also discovering a broader market space in the future.
